Plenna is a Mexican startup that offers hybrid health services for women. Ranging from on-site gynecology services to virtual mental health, nutrition and primary care services.
The startup was founded in 2019 by Giovanna Abramo and Lorena Ostos with the goal of creating a new way of health assistance for women. Plenna is committed to prevent the problems caused by uncomprehensive and late diagnostics, and they are addressing this problem by creating a platform where the same provider keeps all the patient's medical records and shorter waiting times between appointments are offered.
Plenna's latest funding round was led by Urban Innovation Fund, with the participation of Canary, Collaborative Fund, 1984 Ventures, 500 Global, Bridge Latam, Amador Holdings, Nido Ventures, Integra Groupe and Phoenix Club.
The funds will be used to further develop and strengthen Plenna's digital platform, launch a subscription-based model featuring a native app, offer new services that will provide value starting from maternity, and expand their in-person coverage throughout Mexico.
